My first Christmas at sea. Very exotic.
I was pleasantly suprised that Christmas this year did not suck. That’s the funny thing about “happiness”. What actually happens is not all that important. What’s more important is the equation of Reality minus Expectations.

Last night there was Christmas Caroling around the ship which was cheesy and cute. Everyone was in the Christmas spirit and had Santa hats on. The only thing missing was eggnog but my cucumber martini was an adequate substitute.

Today, I got a piglet for a gift. A REAL piglet! I think I shall call it “Piglet”. Piglet’s not physically with me but living with a family, on a farm somewhere in Africa. This is obviously more practical as I don’t have much room in my cabin. I wonder if they will send me photos of Piglet growing up. Possibly my best Christmas present ever.

And as promised, I’ve decided to give another $25 to Kiva as a Christmas gift to myself. The lucky recepient of this festive loan is the Satelital Group a team in Peru, who want to invest in beauty products. My last loan was for sheep but every business tycoon knows they need to diversify.

Merry X’mas everyone. I hope this is a time of joy, gratitude and happiness for you!! XOXO
