The Ecudorian Connection

I woke up today and realized that I can’t be fucked going to Bratislava. I just need to not be moving for a while. I need a bit of stability.

Also it’s been really fun catching up with old friends in Prague. It does feel like home here, so I rather stay put than wander off to another city to meet strangers.

I was going to organize a Free Hugs event but somehow the timing doesn’t feel right. Weekdays are tricky because most people work. And I feel like my Free Hugs mojo is depleted at the moment. I haven’t organized any events in Europe this time and Krakow or Prague would have been perfect. Hopefully I’ll be back in form for Toronto Free Hugs on October 31st.

I spent most of the day locked in Derek’s studio. Some Czech apartments require you to have a key to leave, so when Derek left for work in the morning and I chose to sleep in, that meant I was stuck. It was fine until I started getting hungry and had to scavenge for food. I found some peanuts which kept me occupied for a while.

Derek finally let me out at 4pm. I felt like a dog who was ecstatic to go for a walk with his master. So we went around the corner and I had garlic soup with fried bread, beef goulash and Kozel cerne. Mmm.

After that, I headed to Clabbe’s flat as it was going to be more convenient if I stayed there. Clabbe’s other surfer is from Ecuador and she was preparing a tasty Ecuadorian dinner for everyone. Second dinner, score!

We ate, drank, chatted and chilled out. It was very nice…
