“Free Hugs. We are quite good.”

I organized a Free Hugs in Vancouver today. I heard that Granville St becomes pedestrian only on weekends and once a month was Rediscover Granville, with free salsa, music and other entertainment. So the location was perfect.

The weather was amazing too. Erin, Andrea and I went to this Hare Krishna festival for a free veg lunch. Then I headed to Free Hugs with a sign in tow. Mike had previously made me a Free hugs t-shirt too which is my favorite t-shirt now.

The crew were just awesome. There was Josh from New Jersey, Gulce and friend from Turkey, Clemens from Austria and myself. They really got into the “creative marketing tactics” which just makes the event both a nice thing to do and hilarious fun. A journalist from TheExperienceJunkie.com came to talk to us and said that we made his day, which was a very sweet thing to say. And CBC filmed us too (minute 02:30).

The energy was just great. Vancourities obviously love hugs, even if all the free huggers were foreign!
