I’ve got a new hobby. It’s looking for free wifi spots at different ports. So far I’ve found spots in Grenada, St. Kitts and San Juan. So that was my mission today, to find free wifi in Dominica. Admittedly, there are many more fun things to do here. For instance, Dominica is especially beautiful – there’s rainforest and waterfalls. However, I only had a couple of hours off today, so that limited my options.

So I walked around a bit with no luck. I came across a curious looking cafe called Rituals Coffee that looked like a Starbucks rip-off. Walked around some more and came across this place called Ruins Cafe. It was a burnt down pub converted into a store that sold all sorts of teas, coffees and spices all in huge vats. The aroma of all the spices and freshly roasted coffee made me delirious. At the back of the store was the cafe. The cafe also sold 50 different types of rum like chocolate, mango, spice, ginger etc etc etc. They also had a “special” green rum called Hi-Rise. And free wifi. This is like Disneyland for rum-lovers.
